Application: cleaning of conveyor belt, fabric tape cleaning
Initial situation
Leather shapes are placed on a conveyor belt, decorative side down. Then hot-glue granules are applied evenly to the leather shapes with backside up. It is difficult to avoid glue granules spilling over on the conveyor belt. The glue granulate particles sticking to the conveyor belt surface will contaminate the decorative leather side during the next passthrough, press into the material, and make the cut-outs unusable.
Solution
Cleaning the conveyor belt with ROTORCLEAN. The cleaning unit is installed after the cutting station, following the last conveyor guide roller in the system. The conveyor belt is cleaned on one side only. The conveyor belt has sufficient stability and does not require additional support. The ROTORCLEAN is mounted on the system using a mounting cross rail with height adjustment and 90° swivel option for cleaning and service purposes. Ionization electrodes reduce electrostatic charges, rotating brushes with compressed air support release adhesive particles from the surface, otherwise adhering by electrostatic forces. These are fed into a type ESUC/ESCA supply unit with filter using a suction channel and suction hose.
