Cleaning of of injection moulding tools
Applications: plastic injection moulding, injection mould, jet mould, mould making

Initial situation
Burrs are formed during the production of moulded parts from thermosetting material, which are the result of tool wear that progresses during ongoing production. This leads to the accumulation of residues on the top and bottom of the tools of vertical jet moulding machines. The tool temperature reaches up to 180 °C.
Solution
Contact-free cleaning of the tools with turbulent and pulsating air via TAIFUN-CLEAN® 015. Due to the high tool temperatures of up to 180 °C, contactless cleaning is preferred. The cleaning cycle for the tool is determined on the basis of the residue amounts; cleaning is not necessarily carried out after every injection moulding process. Two TAIFUN-CLEAN® units combined with one another via a common suction channel are used for an adapted working width; infeed and start take place with a linear movement between the tools. The linear motion is implemented by the customer. An ESUC suction and supply unit is used for the suctioning off of disruptive particles.
