Cleaning of gasket rings in the assembly line
Application: O-rings, flat seals, cleaning of bulk goods
Initial situation
Gasket rings are supplied in a mounting process rout. They come in large numbers, are contaminated and statically charged. It’s not allowed that contamination comes in the further assembly process. In addition, electrostatic charges make separation in the oscillating conveyor more difficult.
Solution
The gasket rings run on a slip conveyor belt into the ION TWIST. The air flow inside of the cleaning system transports the gasket rings through several cleaning chambers. The bulk material is electrostatically neutralized by means of an ionizing bar and cleaned by the compressed air flow. After cleaning, the gasket rings fall from the underside of the ION TWIST into a vibratory conveyor for further separation and assembly.
