Application: cleaning of conveyor belts, removal of particles from the conveyor belt
Initial situation
In the case of injection moulded plastic parts (e.g., taps for blood plasma bags), small residues from the moulding process can reach the conveyor belt together with the product. Initially these residues stick to the conveyor due to electrostatic charges, while the moulded parts drop into a collector bin. When a certain amount of residue has built up, its self-weight will cause its own fall into the collector bin together with the product itself.
Solution
The electrostatic injection moulding residues bound to the conveyor belt are neutralized from the bottom side of the conveyor belt by the ionizer integrated in the STATIK‑AIR® cleaning head. Now the undesired particles from the manufacturing process can be extracted from the surface easily and reliably, using the suction unit, supported by compressed air, and then be transported into an ESUC/ESCA supply unit.
