Cleaning of PCB assemblies

Initial situation
PCBs are easily charged electrostatically. After production stages such as blank separation, loose particles and dust adhere to the surface of the assembly. This contamination can impair the function and lead to further contamination of surrounding components after assembly.
Solution
The equipped PCBs are cleaned of particles immediately after separation. For this purpose, a TAIFUN-CLEAN® cleaning unit with housing is positioned over the conveyor. Ionization electrodes discharge the PCB from electrostatic charges while pulsating compressed air releases the particles from the surface. The contaminated air is transported to the supply and filter unit ESUC which collects the particles in the filter.
