Elimination of electrostatic charges in labeling processes
Application: labeling machine, trouble-free placement of the label

Initial situation
Adhesive labels (stickers) are transferred from the carrier material to containers. Electrostatic charges are likely to occur when separating the labels from the carrier web. This may lead to unwanted adhesion of the labels to the donor edge and to inaccurate positioning or wrinkling of the labels on the containers.
Solution
An ionization process with the model POWER BAR 55 neutralizes the electrostatic charges on the top side of the label and the back of the carrier material. In addition, an SPM ionization electrode is placed near the donor edge, which eliminates charges that may have been generated on the labels and container surfaces during removal from the carrier material, facilitating the clean, wrinkle-free label placement.
