Removing printing powder from foil surfaces
Application: films and foils, extrusions, talcum powder, printing press

Initial situation
A tubular film is drawn off a reel, printed, dusted with printing powder (talcum) and then fed back onto a take-up reel. The powder residue can damage the guides and bearings in the filling machine during further processing and therefore must be cleaned beforehand.
Solution
Bilateral cleaning of the tubular film using ROTORCLEAN. The two cleaning devices are positioned opposite each other downstream from the take-off reel. The two brush rollers keep the tubular film distance constant during the cleaning process. Ionization bars eliminate any electrostatic forces. Any adhering powder particles are loosened from the material surface by means of rotating brushes with compressed air support and fed into a suction unit with filter, using a suction duct and suction hoses. Tests in the test laboratory determine the best suitable bristles so that the desired cleaning result can be achieved, and the film surface and printed image will not sustain mechanical damage following the cleaning process.
