Cleaning of plastic film before laminating
Application: cleaning of the smallest particles, micro-particles, laminated glass, interlayer design
Initial situation
Smallest particles from production and the environment contaminate the surface of an EVA foil. This causes problems when laminating the foil to a plastic support plate and to costly scrapping of the finished product. The particles adhere due to electrostatic charges on the foil surface.
Solution
Intensive cleaning of the foil surface by CROSSJET and discharge of the electrostatic charges by ionization devices. A fan forces clean air through the CROSSJET cleaning nozzle against the web direction over the material surface. The surface cleaning system CROSSJET produces a very high-speed airflow which penetrates the boundary layer and cleans off the finest particles. The suction nozzle removes the contaminated air which is filtered in the suction device ESUC.
