Cleaning of Paper Webs before Printing
Application: Cleaning at High Speeds, Microparticles, Laminar Boundary Layer

Initial situation
A paper web of special paper for notepads produces particles after cutting lengthwise, whereby these particles are pressed into the paper web surface by the deflection rollers and by winding.
When the paper is afterwards printed, the disruptive particles cause misprints and scrap products. The simple suction existing in the production area is not enough.
Solution
Cleaning of the paper web by means of CROSSJET to clean the finest particles before winding. Before and after cleaning, ionization devices discharge the electrostatic charges which hold the paper particles to the surface. Cleaning takes place at the deflection roller in order to assure a defined clearance of 1 mm between cleaning device and paper surface. The powerful airstream between cleaning nozzle and suction nozzle penetrates the boundary layer on the web and removes the particles.
