Cleaning of film, foil and paper after longitudinal cut
Application: foil extrusions, foil cutting, longitudinal slitting, edge trimming, rewinders, digital print, printing press

Initial solution
Paper or laminating film are taken from a roll supply, which can generate electrostatic separating energy and cutting particles during the unrolling unto conveyor guide rollers or during slitting. These surface charges may cause ambient dust or cutting particles attraction and lead to contamination and particle carry over.
Solution
Non-contact cleaning systems of the type STATIK‑AIR® are installed above and, if necessary, below the material surface, e.g., before the printing process or following the cutting station. Integrated ionization electrodes reduce the electrostatic charges and any attractive forces between particles and the material. Potentially disruptive particles are whirled up with flat jet nozzles, taken up by a concentrated suction airstream and transported to a suction unit.
