Cleaning film and foil webs
Application: production and further processing of paper or foils, extrusion, finishing, doubling, laminating, coating, printing machines
Initial situation
Roll supply feeds the laminating film (e.g. EVA) into the slitting machine, to be cut to length. Electrostatic charges are generated during the material transport, leading to cutting particles adhering to the surface and to contamination and particle carry over.
Solution
The flat jet nozzles of non-contact air ionization of the type STATIK‑AIR® remove electrostatic charges and cutting particles, which are taken up by a concentrated suction stream and transported into an ESUC/ESCA suction unit. Depending on the material management and the cleanliness requirements, web cleaning may be required on both sides.
