Initial situation
During the transport of small parts, particles can loosen and electrostatic charges can arise caused by friction of the parts among each other, shocks and vibration. Through additional static charges, particles can settle down on the parts. Using the parts in the further operating process caused a carry-over of particles into the next assemblies.
Solution
The ION TWIST cleaning system cleans small parts and reduces their static charge. The parts are poured via the outlet hopper and get swirled by a strong air flow over the cleaning ramps to the material outlet. Active electrostatic discharge neutralises the charges on the surface and releases electrostatic bonding forces between particles and the surface of the parts. The particles get exhausted by the integrated suction channel. It is possible to use the cleaning system as a stand-alone workstation or to integrate it in an assembly line.
