KIST + ESCHERICH, with its introduction of the ESD electrostatics PRECISION BAR, sets new standards in design and function for electrostatic discharge in ESD applications. This ionisation system is specially designed for use in high-tech applications and meets the high ESD requirements. The units comply with the standard IEC 61340-5-1:2016, with a residual charge (ion equilibrium) of < 35 V.
This compact ionisation system has an integrated HV power supply and its own control unit with LED status display and operating status signal. The high-frequency technology of the PRECISION BAR system ensures optimally adapted discharge performance.
Insulating surfaces on printed circuit boards and populated components can become electrostatically charged during their processing, which could lead to uncontrolled discharges and potential damage to sensitive electrical and electronic components. The ionisation electrodes of the PRECISION BAR generate positive and negative ions, which are transported via an integrated blowing bar. They reduce measurably existing charges on ESD-sensitive components and thus minimize the risk of unwanted deposits and contamination.
