KIST + ESCHERICH conquer the REWE Team Challenge 2025 – rain, fun and sheer determination

May 28th in Dresden – grey skies, pouring rain, and 16 KIST + ESCHERICH runners who wouldn’t be stopped. Taking on the REWE Team Challenge with grit and good humor, our colleagues proved that team spirit shines brightest in the toughest conditions.

Split into four squads of four, they joined over 30,000 runners on the 5 km route. The start at the Semperoper was delayed by the storm, but at 8:30 p.m., our teams took off at full speed, rain be damned.

Crowds of cheering fans, pounding drum beats, and colorful costumes along the route kept spirits high. As Nils Kaufmann put it: “The motivation was strong, and it was a lot of fun to push through despite the rain.” The final sprint into Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion wasn’t just a thrilling finish – it brought back warm memories of our Christmas party held in the very same venue.

The night wrapped up with cold drinks, big smiles, and plenty of stories to tell. Massive thanks to everyone for running, supporting, and showing what true team power looks like. We’re ready for the 2026 challenge – with sunshine on our wish list and motivation already in the bag.
