The foundation stone is laid Founding of Dr. Escherich Steuerungstechnik GmbH in Munich by Dr. Gustav Escherich and Peter Kist. Focus: Industrial switchgear & Controls
- 1978
A new business unit is developed Expansion of the product portfolio by electrostatics.
- 1984
First proprietary development Launching the first in-house design of a surface cleaning device.
- 1990
Location expansion Opening a branch office in Dresden to strengthen our representation in the region.
- 1993
Mechanical engineering has its start Start of KIST Maschinenbau GmbH in Lockwitzgrund in Dresden for the production of our own plants.
- 2000
Automated cleaning technology KIST Maschinenbau develops the first fully automatic cleaning system (CLEANMASTER) for IMD plastic parts for the mobile phone industry.
- 2001
The first TAIFUN-CLEAN Development and sale of our first surface cleaning device TAIFUN-CLEAN® and the first ESUC suction and supply units.
- 2009
Expanding our expertise in electrostatics Development of a separate product line in the field of electrostatics and establishing an international sales network.
- 2012
Entering the automotive industry KIST Maschinenbau delivers a major order to a German automobile manufacturer and for the first time manufactures cleaning machines for robot-supported manufacturing cells.
The technical cleanliness requirements of the automotive industry have made the Dr. Escherich + KIST Maschinenbau Group a key supplier in the industry during the following years.
- 2016
The next generation takes over Peter Kist hands over the management to his sons Stefan Kist and Philipp Kist.
- 2018
Opening of the TECH Center Dresden Dedication of a modern customer centre as an interactive client centre for electrostatics and surface cleaning at the Dresden site.
- 2020
Merger: 2 become 1 Two strong brands become one. The merger of Dr. Escherich and KIST Maschinenbau into KIST + ESCHERICH GmbH.
- 2022
Welcome hyJOIN® Expanding our product portfolio with hyJOIN® technology with plants and system components for the thermal direct joining of metal and plastic.
- 2023
Location initiative & future-proofing Acquisition of Hollstein GmbH and establishing the production site in Freital near Dresden.
- 2025
Internationalisation KIST + ESCHERICH goes international. Proposed opening of a site in Suzhou, China, to pursue further international expansion.
