Removal of abrasives after edge removal
Application: cleaning float glass before optical inspection, avoiding phantom defects

Initial situation
In thin film solar cell technology, semiconductor materials from the gas phase are transported directly to the carrier material (e.g. glass). In order to protect the solar cell permanently from environmental influences a carrier material is given lamination. Additionally, a strip about 15 mm wide is edge deleted. Residual jet materials remain on the substrate, depending on removal technology, and lead to adhesion problems.
Solution
By means of the one-sided or two-sided application of surface cleaning device of the type ROTORCLEAN, not only are electrostatically adhering foreign particles removed. A rotating brush removes also heavy or snagged residual jet material. A suction airflow transports this to a filter unit.
